Artist statement:

I work with a variety of mediums, principally within the realm of Textiles, Painting and Drawing, to create dream-like imagery inspired by personal explorations on the notion of embodiment. Informed by my cultural background, chosen identities and lived experiences, my artworks function as a form of abstracted autofiction, where bodies exist outside of biological constraints and internalized social constructions. My primary focus is the creation of “asexual erotica”: art that evokes my sensual reality as someone on the furthest end of the asexual spectrum. By appropriating and hybridizing the visual languages of allosexual erotic arts, I wish to challenge the centralization of sex and desirability as a mode of understanding what it means to be human.
